Micaya White was named Big 12 freshman of the week on Monday following her performance last weekend at the American Campus classic.
White, a freshman outside hitter, posted double-digit kills each match and led Texas with 56 kills while hitting .400 percent over four matches.
She had a season-high 16 kills against Army, 14 against Miami and led the Longhorns in kills in three of four contests. White is ranked fifth in the conference in kills and ninth in points.
